Friends Reception with Author Sharon McMahon

Friends of the Chesterfield County Public Library are invited to a reception on Friday, April 25, at 6 p.m. with Sharon McMahon, author of the bestseller The Small and the Mighty: Twelve Unsung Americans Who Changed the Course of History, from the Founding to the Civil Rights Movement. (The author presentation will start at 7 p.m. and is open to the public.)
Reception attendees will have a chance to meet the author and get books signed! Light refreshments will be provided.
This reception is for Friends members only, as a benefit of membership. (Not a Friend yet? Join today!) Register to attend the Friends reception.

Please note: Registration for the 7:00 p.m. author presentation is separate and required. This library event is free and open to the public. Register for the author presentation here. Registration for both the Friends reception and author presentation will open March 21 at 9 a.m.

Bon Air Victorian Day Book Sale

The Bon Air Friends will once again have a Book Sale at Victorian Day in historic Bon Air!

Join us Saturday, May 10, 2025 between 10am and 2pm at the Bon Air Christian Church at 2071 Buford Road. Enjoy the festivities and shop for books while supporting the Bon Air Friends! More details to come.


4th Annual Golf Tournament

When? Thursday May 15, 2025.
The Friends of Chesterfield County Public Library invite you to play your way on the green for 18-holes to make a difference today!

Help drive support FORE the Chesterfield County Public Library, including:

  • Accessibility initiatives FORE low vision and hearing loss
  • Summer Learning FORE all ages
  • Hygiene Care Kits FORE the homeless

Check-in starts at 11:30 a.m. and the Shotgun Start is at 1 p.m. You’ll have the chance to win prizes through a silent auction, multiple raffles and other competitions, including the Longest-Drive and Closest-to-the-Pin. Tickets are $150 per player. (Player fees are covered with sponsorship.) Get your tickets today!


Book Donations!

Do you have books, DVDs, Games, CDs, etc. to donate to the Friends? 

You can either donate directly to the Friends by emailing: donations2024@chesterfieldfriends.org and picking a specific time and place OR you can drop them off at a Library branch during regular Library hours ANY WEDNESDAY!

Donations are accepted on Wednesdays at all library locations in the designated bins. The Library and the Friends partner to sort, organize and sell books to raise money that supports library programs and more!
